This course offers a fundamental exploration, beginning with the basics of logging in and out of terminals, and the nuances of entering commands. Special key sequences and the ability to establish remote sessions through SSH are pivotal skills for navigating the Linux environment.
 
An understanding of the UNIX directory layout, managing files, and mastering the use of absolute and relative pathnames form the bedrock of file system management. As users become familiar with moving through directories, creating and deleting them as needed, they also learn to harness the power of metacharacters for pattern matching, along with file creation and editing.
 
The course advances into scripting, teaching users to automate daily tasks and write scripts for repetitive operations, sharpening efficiency.
