TAC.Ctrl is a tactical remote controller for First Person View (FPV) UAS, designed for operator safety and robustly built for reliable and precise operation in adverse field environments. It connects to and power IRONGhost Ground Unit radios for sub-GHz band control link and dual 5.8 GHz analog video Rx, providing video and power to the FPV.Pro tactical FPV goggles.
The Tac.Ctrl is the core of Orqa's tactical Ground Control System. It has been designed around the tactical necessity of displacing the source of RF emission up to 1 Km from the unit position to improve soldier survivability. Given that the Tac.Ctrl also serves as the power source, setting up the entire FPV Ground Control Station requires only two cables: a long one running to the remotely place IRONGhost ground unit radios, and a short one to the pilot's goggles. Optionally, an external displa can easily be connected to the controller to enable mission control and monitoring. This design enables extremely simple and rapid setup of a ground control station for FPV teams.
